The National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, has overseen the return of 128 individuals who had been abducted to their families in Abuja.

The group of rescued victims, which included men, women, and children, was successfully recovered by security personnel during two distinct missions in Kaura Namoda, Zamfara State.
Ribadu also stated that the victims would receive trauma counseling and assistance to reintegrate into their home communities.
Commending the security forces for their successful operations, the NSA vowed that those responsible would be pursued and held accountable for their crimes.
He cautioned, “Llet us take politics out of security challenges.”
Previously, the National Coordinator of the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC), Major General Adamu Laka, reported that one rescued child had succumbed to an illness, while a premature baby born during the operation was receiving care in a hospital’s incubation unit.
