The Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency has said the first batch of intending pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj will depart Nigeria on May 14.
The agencyโs public relations officer, Malam Ibrahim Datti, made this known in a statement in Kaduna on Friday.
Mr Datti said the date marked the commencement of airlift operations for pilgrims from Kaduna State to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
He said the arrangements for the exercise were progressing steadily, assuring pilgrims of smooth, hitch-free operations.
According to him, the agency has put in place adequate measures to ensure seamless departure, including logistics, health screening and orientation programmes.
He advised intending pilgrims to remain attentive to official communications and to adhere strictly to the guidelines and schedules provided by the agency.
Mr Datti appreciated stakeholders for their cooperation and support, and prayed for a successful Hajj exercise.
