The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, as Chairman of its campaign council for the upcoming Ekiti State governorship election.
The appointment was contained in a letter signed by the party’s National Secretary, Senator Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru, on Friday, April 24, 2026. The letter described Governor Sani as a proven leader whose political experience would be critical to securing victory in Ekiti.
According to the letter addressed to the Governor at the Kaduna State Government House, the APC leadership believes Sani’s track record and commitment to the party’s success make him the ideal choice to lead the campaign team.
The party also formally invited Governor Sani to attend the official flag-off rally for the Ekiti governorship election. The rally is scheduled to hold on Monday, April 27, 2026, at 11:00 am at the Ekiti Parapo Pavilion in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital.
Governor Sani is expected to immediately begin mobilising party structures across Ekiti State ahead of the poll, working with other chieftains of the party to ensure an APC victory.
