The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has inaugurated a zoning committee to oversee preparations for its upcoming national convention in November.
The committee, led by Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri, includes Zamfara Governor Dauda Lawal, Oyo Governor Seyi Makinde, and Plateau Governor Caleb Muftwang.
Acting PDP National Chairman Ilya Damagum urged the 44-member panel to ensure fairness and equity in its decisions, calling the committee “the foundation of the party’s future.”
The convention is scheduled for 15-16 November in Ibadan.
