Demola Olarenwaju, Special Assistant on Digital Media Strategy to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has criticised sections of the media for what he termed “premature and biased” reporting on the registration of the All Democratic Alliance (ADA).
In a post on his X (formerly Twitter) handle on Saturday, Olarenwaju questioned why certain media outlets appeared to take sides in their coverage of ADA’s registration process, emphasizing that the group was merely exercising its constitutional right, like any other association.
He clarified that ADA had not been officially adopted by any political coalition, contrary to widespread media reports, and assured that the public would be duly informed once a final decision is reached.
”Nigerian newspapers often contribute to our challenges. A group is in the process of pursuing party registration, just like any other Nigerian, but they need to coordinate this with the coalition.
”ADA has not been adopted by the coalition, and when the time is right, the public will be informed about the appropriate choices and decisions. Just be patient with that.,” he wrote
