In a bid to enhance security in Ovia South-West Local Government Area, Edo State Deputy Governor, Hon. Dennis Idahosa, has inaugurated three Sienna vehicles and two motorcycles for security personnel.
The initiative is part of the government’s efforts to strengthen the security architecture of the area. Idahosa used the occasion to reiterate Sen. Monday Okpebholo-led administration’s commitment to securing lives and properties of the citizenry.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Friday Aghedo, the deputy governor, commended the
acting Chairman of the council, Charles Edobor for his foresight at actualizing the vision of the governor to safeguard his people.
Idahosa noted that deployment of the vehicles and motorcycles to patrolling the area by security agencies will enhance the security of lives and properties.
The deputy governor advised him to always consider the interest and well-being of his people in every project he initiates.
He further said that the council chairman displayed grit and tenacity by making the legislative arm of the council functional and active with the provision of an operational vehicle.
He added that the display of hard work, by Edobor shows resilience at ensuring development, peace and prosperity of Ovia people.
In a related development, the deputy governor carried out the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a block of six classrooms at Udo Primary School.
