Residents of Alkaleri Local Government Area of Bauchi State have expressed appreciation to Governor Bala Mohammed for prioritizing healthcare delivery alongside road and education development projects in the area.
During an interaction with journalists on the ongoing state-wide project inspection, community members said the upgrading of hospitals, health centers, and supply of essential medical materials have significantly improved access to quality healthcare.

Abubakar Umar Panti and Yusha’u Adamu Yashi, who spoke separately, noted that the health interventions, coupled with road construction, have reduced the burden of transporting sick persons to faraway facilities, thereby saving lives.
Similarly, Malam Abdullahi Ibrahim Pali commended the administration for rehabilitating both primary and secondary health facilities across communities in Alkaleri. According to him, the provision of functional equipment, drugs, and improved infrastructure has restored confidence in public healthcare delivery.
Projects inspected by the monitoring team include the upgraded healthcare facilities in several communities, the permanent site of the Bauchi Oil and Gas Academy Alkaleri under construction, completed township roads in Alkaleri and Duguri, as well as renovated palaces of traditional rulers.
Also inspected were the fully rehabilitated 56-kilometer Dindima–Yashi–Mainamaji road and the ongoing improvement of the 25.8-kilometer Mainamaji–Badara–Kuka–Pali road under the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP), both of which enhance access to health centers and markets.
Commissioner for Information and Communication, Usman Shehu Usman, said the projects reflect Governor Bala Mohammed’s commitment to bridging gaps in healthcare delivery, education, and infrastructure in fulfillment of his campaign promises.
