The Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has extended heartfelt Easter greetings to Christians in the state and across Nigeria, calling for renewed commitment to unity, peace, and compassion.
In a goodwill message marking the Easter season, the governor congratulated Christian faithful on the successful completion of the Lenten period. He encouraged citizens to embrace the core values of Easter which is love, sacrifice, forgiveness, and peaceful coexistence.
According to him, Easter symbolizes hope, renewal, and the enduring love of God. He urged residents to reflect deeply on their relationship with God and with one another, stressing the need to rise above ethnic, religious, and political divisions for the collective good.
Governor Mohammed also acknowledged the prevailing socio-economic and security challenges facing the country, including global economic strains and increasing energy costs.
Despite these difficulties, he reassured citizens of his administration’s commitment to protecting lives and property while improving overall living standards.
He reiterated that his government remains focused on sustaining peace, building resilience, and implementing policies aimed at easing hardship and stabilizing the economy.
The governor further called on residents to support government efforts through cooperation, unity, and prayers, expressing optimism about a stronger future.
“I am confident that we shall emerge stronger,” he said.
He concluded by wishing Christians a peaceful and joyous Easter celebration, praying for divine guidance, protection, and lasting peace in Bauchi State and Nigeria.
