Governor Uba Sani has extended heartfelt condolences to former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, following the death of his mother, Hajiya Umma El-Rufai.
In a solemn message issued on behalf of the government and people of Kaduna State, the governor described the late matriarch as a woman of “rare grace, moral clarity, and quiet strength,” whose life was marked by compassion, humility, and service to humanity.
Sani noted that Hajiya Umma El-Rufai was more than a devoted mother, highlighting her role as a pillar of unity and guidance within her community. According to him, she was widely respected for her wisdom, commitment to reconciliation, and unwavering dedication to values of faith, patience, and generosity.
He said her passing represents not only a personal loss to the El-Rufai family but also a significant void within the community she served selflessly.
The governor expressed solidarity with the bereaved family during this period of grief, offering prayers for the repose of her soul.
He prayed that Almighty Allah would forgive her shortcomings, accept her good deeds, and grant her eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus, while also asking for strength and comfort for the family to bear the loss.
