The minister of humanitarian affairs and poverty reduction, Bernard Doro, said President Bola Tinubu’s administration would continue to prioritise the welfare of vulnerable Nigerians.
The minister said this after being conferred with a chieftaincy title, along with his wife, by the Olowa of Igbara-Oke, Oba Adefarakanmi Agbede, in Ondo State on Monday.
The traditional ruler conferred the titles of Otunba Bobajiro of Igbara-Oke and Yeye Bobajiro of Igbara-Oke on the minister and his wife, Naomi, respectively.
Mr Doro said that although the different reforms of the Tinubu-led administration might be challenging, they would bring the country out of hopelessness.
The minister said the chieftaincy title would prompt him to give more to society, appreciating the traditional ruler and the community for the honour.
Earlier, Oba Agbede noted that the ancient community had found the minister and his wife worthy of receiving the titles for their humanitarian gestures to mankind.
