A Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the remand of cryptocurrency entrepreneur, Linus Williams Ifejirika, popularly known as Blord, at the Kuje Correctional Centre over allegations bordering on impersonation and related offences.
Blord was arraigned on Wednesday on charges including criminal conspiracy, impersonation, and the unauthorised use of the identity of Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan, a social media activist.
The case stems from a complaint filed by VeryDarkMan, who accused the defendant of using his name, image, and identity in connection with commercial promotions without consent.
Following his arraignment, the presiding judge directed that the defendant be remanded in custody pending further proceedings and adjourned the matter until April 27, 2026.
Reacting to the development, VeryDarkMan shared a video from the court premises, confirming the remand and outlining the allegations against the defendant.
“LINUS WILLIAMS IFEJIRIKA A.K.A BLORD has been remanded at the Kuje Correctional Centre. He is remanded for 26 days, meaning he will be spending his Easter in prison,” he stated.
He further alleged that Blord forged documents and misrepresented him in promotional materials, claiming that his identity was used to falsely endorse a product.
“As you all know, Mr Linus forged flight tickets with my name ‘Martins Otse’ and claimed I was coming to Onitsha to join him in launching his app. He also claimed he paid me ₦500 million to be his brand ambassador and that I approved his platform. He printed billboards and flyers with my face, claiming we had an agreement. All of these are false,” he added.
A legal practitioner, Marshal Abubakar, also confirmed the remand, stating that the defendant was brought before the court for prosecution in line with the allegations raised.
The case has drawn attention on social media, particularly within the digital and cryptocurrency communities, as legal proceedings are expected to continue later in April.
