Former Kaduna State senator and political analyst, Shehu Sani, has drawn striking parallels between the aggressive tactics used by supporters of former President Muhammadu Buhari in the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) and current backers of Peter Obi in the Labour Party (LP).
Sani made the comparism in a short social media post on Sunday, where he highlighted what he might be describing as a dangerous pattern of political intolerance in Nigeria’s democracy.
“The supporters of Buhari in CPC and the supporters of Obi in LP have a lot in common in terms of mentality, fanaticism and approach.
“If you are a good student of history or political science, this is a subject you can articulately and intelligently discuss and analyse”, he said.
