Governor Uba Sani has named Jerry Adams as his running mate for the 2027 governorship election in Kaduna State.
Adams, the Executive Chairman of the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS), was announced at the Government House on Tuesday.
The Governor said Adams’ nomination reflects his administration’s commitment to inclusion, justice, and fairness.
“Mr. Jerry Adams is an accomplished public servant, institution builder, and respected tax administrator whose leadership at KADIRS has strengthened Kaduna’s fiscal capacity,” Sani said.
He added that the choice reinforces his vision of a united, peaceful, and prosperous Kaduna where merit, competence, and character remain the foundation of leadership.
Adams, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (FCTI), the Nigerian Institute of Management (FNIM), and a Certified National Accountant (CNA), has led KADIRS since his appointment. His tenure has seen improvements in the state’s internally generated revenue.
He is yet to formally accept the nomination, but sources say he is committed to the administration’s developmental agenda.
The 2027 election is expected to be keenly contested. Sani’s early pick signals a proactive approach to campaign preparations.
