The Chief Executive Officer of Vodi Tailors, Seyi Adekunle, has fulfilled a strategic corporate pledge by distributing 40 state-of-the-art industrial sewing machines to young entrepreneurs specialising in tailoring.
This initiative aligns with his earlier commitment made during the National Youth Entrepreneurship and Empowerment Summit (YEEP’25), where he participated as a keynote panelist.
The summit, orchestrated by the Activate Success International Foundation, a non-governmental organisation dedicated to youth development, served as a platform for equipping emerging Nigerian entrepreneurs with critical resources, including funding opportunities, mentorship programmes, and essential business tools.
With over 2,300 registrants, including current and former National Youth Service Corps members, the event underscored a growing demand for sustainable youth empowerment initiatives in Nigeria.
Adekunle’s contribution forms part of his broader corporate social responsibility strategy, coinciding with the celebration of his 50th birthday. By investing in these budding entrepreneurs, he aims to stimulate economic growth, reduce unemployment, and foster self-reliance among Nigeria’s youth demographic.
The beneficiaries, carefully selected for their demonstrated skills in tailoring, have lauded the initiative as a transformative intervention that will significantly enhance their operational capacity. Many described the machines as a catalyst for business expansion, enabling them to scale production, improve service delivery, and potentially generate employment opportunities within their communities.
The Activate Success International Foundation, which facilitated the summit, focuses on bridging the gap between ambition and opportunity by providing young Nigerians with access to practical training, financial support, and industry networks.
This latest collaboration with Vodi Tailors exemplifies the power of public-private partnerships in driving socio-economic development.
Adekunle, during his keynote address, shared his entrepreneurial journey, emphasising resilience, innovation, and strategic reinvestment as key pillars of sustainable business growth. His narrative resonated deeply with attendees, many of whom are navigating the challenges of launching and sustaining micro-enterprises in a competitive market.
The sewing machines, designed for commercial use, are expected to elevate the quality and output of local tailoring businesses, thereby strengthening Nigeria’s informal manufacturing sector.
