Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, CON, yesterday formally welcomed former Director General of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and ex-Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant, Mohammed Sani Sidi, alongside thousands of his supporters, into the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The event, which marked a major political realignment in the state, was attended by prominent figures, including the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, top federal and state government officials, APC leaders, and stakeholders.
Governor Sani, in his address, warmly received the decampees, assuring them of equal opportunities and full integration into the ruling party.
He emphasised the APC’s commitment to delivering good governance, strengthening the party’s structures, and maintaining peace and unity in Kaduna State.
“We are delighted to welcome Hon. Mohammed Sani Sidi and his teeming supporters into our great party,” Governor Sani stated.
“Their decision to join the APC is a testament to the confidence in our progressive ideals and the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. We assure them of our unwavering support and urge them to actively participate in party activities as we collectively work towards a better Kaduna and Nigeria.”
Hon. Sidi, a seasoned administrator and former PDP chieftain, expressed optimism about his move to the APC, citing the party’s developmental strides and inclusive politics as key factors in his decision. He pledged the loyalty of his supporters to the APC and vowed to contribute to the party’s growth in the state.
