President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is scheduled to travel to Kaduna on Friday, September 19, for a significant one-day visit that includes both a celebratory event and a solemn courtesy call, it was officially confirmed on Thursday.
The announcement was made by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, in a press release issued from the State House on September 18, 2025.
According to the statement, the President will first attend the wedding ceremony of Nasirudeen Yari, the son of Senator Abdul’aziz Yari, the former Governor of Zamfara State, who is marrying Safiyya Shehu Idris.
Following the nuptials, President Tinubu will pay a respectful visit to Aisha Muhammadu Buhari, the widow of former President Muhammadu Buhari, at the family residence in Kaduna.
The President is expected to conclude his engagements and return to Abuja on the same day.
