The Rivers State All Progressives Congress, APC, House of Assembly Screening Appeal Committee, chaired by Abdul Mahmud, has reaffirmed the disqualification of aspirants linked to the state incumbent governor, Siminalayi Fubara.
Spear News reports that about 33 aspirants who involved in the screening exercise on Saturday were cleared while 65 were disqualified.
But the 65 disqualified aspirants have been officially identified as Fubara’s loyalists.
While fielding questions from newsmen journalists on Tuesday, the appeal committee chairman disclosed that 19 appeals have been submitted by some of the disqualified aspirants.
Spear News learned that the submission of appeals would ends on Wednesday.
The committee, however, said the final list of cleared aspirants will be made public when the date for appeals closes.
