The National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Hajiya Umma El-Rufai, describing her death as a profound loss to the El-Rufai family and all who knew her.
In a heartfelt condolence message, Ribadu said he received the news of her passing with deep sadness, noting that the deceased was a woman of remarkable warmth, kindness and motherly care, with whom he shared fond and lasting memories over the years.
He said the loss is particularly painful given the personal bond he shared with her, stressing that her passing leaves a significant void that cannot easily be filled. Ribadu added that at such a moment, words are often insufficient to console the bereaved, especially when a life so cherished has come to an end.

I have fond memories of shared moments with her and her motherly care. At a time like this, words can offer little comfort for such a profound loss. My heartfelt condolences to Mallam Nasir El-Rufai and the entire family. May Almighty Allah forgive her shortcomings, grant her eternal rest in Aljannah Firdaus, and give the family the strength to bear this loss.”
The passing of Hajiya Umma El-Rufai comes at a sensitive time, amid ongoing public attention surrounding matters involving her family, including issues linked to former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai.
