Former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Prof. Isa Ali Pantami, has said those working to frustrate his 2027 Gombe State governorship ambition will soon be unmasked, urging his supporters not to be distracted by critics.
Pantami, who secured the PDP governorship ticket after leaving the APC, saw his name excluded from INEC’s final candidate list following a Supreme Court judgement barring parties from fielding candidates not in their membership register submitted to the commission. His legal team issued INEC a three-day ultimatum to reinstate him, but the commission maintained his exclusion, asking parties to notify it of wrongly excluded candidates by October 24, 2026.
With that deadline now passed, Pantami, in a Hausa-language video on his Facebook page, thanked Gombe residents for their prayers and said no man can destroy whom Allah has predestined to succeed.
“We’ll soon expose them,” he said of those plotting against his bid, adding that mockers of his supporters’ prayer gatherings “should be pitied because they do not understand the power and might of Allah.
