The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna North Senatorial District, also referred to as Zone 1, has formally expressed support for President Bola Tinubu, Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, to secure second terms in office.
The endorsement was declared during a high-profile stakeholdersโ forum held at the Federal University of Education in Zaria, Kaduna State. The event brought together a distinguished assembly of political figures, including a former governor, current and former ministers, members of the National and State Assemblies, ambassadors, commissioners, heads of federal and state agencies, and prominent party leaders.
Participants at the forum meticulously reviewed the accomplishments of the APC-led administrations at both federal and state levels, with particular emphasis on the notable achievements of President Tinubu, Governor Sani, and Speaker Abbas. Following extensive deliberations, the stakeholders unanimously resolved to back their re-election bids.
In addition to endorsing the trio, attendees were urged to reinforce party cohesion to ensure a resounding victory in the 2027 general elections. The Minister of Environment, Malam Balarabe Lawal Abbas, underscored the critical importance of unity, asserting that only through collective purpose could the APC secure its electoral objectives.
During his address, Speaker Abbas revealed that the 2025 federal budget allocates over โฆ50 billion for developmental projects across the eight local government areas comprising Kadunaโs Zone 1. A comparable sum has also been earmarked for initiatives at Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) in Zaria, Kaduna State University, and the College of Education in Gidan Waya, among other institutions.
Expressing gratitude, Speaker Abbas acknowledged the instrumental support of President Tinubu and Governor Sani in his ascension to the Speakership. He affirmed that the most fitting reciprocation would be to galvanise voter support to ensure their re-election.
The Speaker further emphasised that the continuity of his own legislative achievements hinges on the sustained success of both the President and Governor Sani.
