Mrs. Priscilla Otti, wife of Abia State Governor Alex Otti, was on Tuesday spotted at the ongoing National Women Mega Empowerment Rally 2026 at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.
The event was organised by the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu. It is being led by the Minister of Women Affairs, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, and former Minister of Labour, Barr. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha.
The rally is themed “The Power of Ten Million: One Voice, One Movement, One Choice.” It has brought together women from all 774 local government areas and 9,410 wards.
Mrs. Otti’s presence is drawing attention because her husband is a Labour Party governor. However, Governor Otti has developed a strong working relationship with President Tinubu.
He has reportedly endorsed the President for a second term in 2027 and is expected to mobilise his supporters for Tinubu’s re-election.
The purpose of the rally is to mark a shift for Nigerian women. It moves them from symbolic participation to structured political and economic power. Minister Sulaiman-Ibrahim said it establishes women as organised constituents with voice and agency.
The rally has three major outcomes. First, 10 million women will endorse President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. Second, a National Women’s Charter of Demands will be presented as a policy guide. Third, women’s collectives will be created across all 9,410 wards for sustained action.
The event also launches economic interventions. The Renewed Hope Social Impact Intervention 774 (RH-SII 774) targets women in all local government areas. It includes grants, microcredit schemes, skills acquisition, agricultural support, and clean energy access.
Minister Sulaiman-Ibrahim stated that women reinvest up to 90 percent of their income into their families. “When you empower a woman, you empower a nation,” she said.
The rally aligns with the Federal Government’s declaration of 2026 as the “Year of Families and Social Development.” Organising Committee Chairman Zainab Ibrahim described it as “the mother of all rallies.” She added, “This is not just a rally; it is a movement.”
The event continues until 5pm today at the National Stadium, Abuja.
