The Edo state Police Command has confirmed the arrest of four notorious cultists around Auchi and Jattu axis of Edo North, following the recent rise in cult related killings in the area.
In a statement by the Command’s PRO CSP, Moses Yamu, said operatives of the Command’s Anti-Cultism Unit in a joint operation with Jattu and Auchi Divisions embarked on a house-to-house arrest of the cultists.
The four suspects include 25 years old Musa Murphy, claimed to be a member of Arobaga Confraternity, 25 year old Gabriel Moses suspected to be member of Aye Confraternity, 23 year old Michael Ayo suspected member of Eiye Confraternity and 24 year old Philip Sunday Suspected Vikings Member.
Preliminary Intelligence revealed that the suspects were responsible for cult violence in Auchi and its environs.
The statement noted that CP Monday Agbonika, assured the general public of the Command’s resolve to rid the State of cultism while the Suspects would be charged to court as soon as the investigation is concluded
