The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the postponement of a reception scheduled for the Executive Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas.
The event, which was to be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, has been delayed indefinitely, with a new date to be announced later.
In a press statement issued on Tuesday, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, explained that the decision was taken as a mark of honour for members of the armed forces and citizens recently killed by “forces of terror.”
The postponement also reflects respect for the victims of recent abductions, particularly the kidnapping of innocent schoolgirls in Kebbi State, whom Morka described as having been taken “by enemies of the state.”
The statement saluted “the courage and sacrifices of our men and women in uniform who put their lives on the line in defence of our liberty and security.”
It further expressed deep commiseration with the families of the victims, adding, “We pray for the safe return of our innocent students taken from their families by forces of evil.”
The party also reaffirmed the commitment of the President Bola Tinubu-led administration to “stamp out the menace of insurgency and banditry within our borders, and bring these despicable perpetrators to justice.”
