The national chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Nentawe Yilwatda, has extended Christmas greetings and New Year wishes to Nigerians, expressing confidence in a brighter future for the country.
In a statement on Friday, the APC chairman said the festive season offered renewed hope for national unity and progress.
โOn behalf of the National Working Committee of our great party, I extend warm Christmas greetings and best wishes for a happy and prosperous New Year to all Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora,โ Mr Yilwatda said.
He congratulated APC governors, particularly the chairman of the Progressive Governorsโ Forum, Hope Uzodimma, as well as members of the National Assembly and party executives at all levels.
The chairman also commended party members nationwide for their loyalty and commitment to democratic governance. According to him, Christmas remains a season of hope, sacrifice and renewal, offering Nigerians the opportunity to reflect on shared values and collective aspirations.
โChristmas calls on us to renew our faith in the promise of Nigeria and look ahead with optimism and confidence in a brighter future,โ he said.
The APC chairman reaffirmed the partyโs support for President Bola Tinubuโs administration, noting that the Renewed Hope Agenda remained focused on economic recovery and institutional reforms.
โUnder the visionary leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, the APC-led administration is firmly guided by the Renewed Hope Agenda aimed at economic recovery, social inclusion, national security and sustainable development,โ he said.
He acknowledged that the ongoing reforms were demanding, but necessary for long-term national stability and prosperity.
While assuring Nigerians that their sacrifices were not in vain, the chairman said the administration was committed to expanding opportunities and protecting the vulnerable.
โThe resilience and sacrifices of Nigerians are recognised and deeply valued. The Renewed Hope Agenda is designed to restore confidence and build a nation where progress is shared,โ he added.
He urged APC members to remain united and disciplined in supporting the governmentโs programmes and policies.
