The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has launched a pre-emptive attack on an unnamed political figure expected to be named as a vice-presidential candidate in the 2027 presidential election.
The incendiary tweet, posted on Monday, ridicules the imminent political move, suggesting the individual in question is scrambling to justify accepting a VP slot after a concluded primary election.
“Finally, the chicken is coming home to roost,” Keyamo began, claiming intimate knowledge of the rival’s internal deliberations. “I understand that someone, somewhere has drafted and redrafted the statement he will release to hoodwink his ‘supporters’… He has written and torn drafts upon drafts, containing the normal gibberish of ‘my desire to rescue Nigeria’, bla, bla bla.”
The Minister framed the expected announcement not as an act of political unity, but as an opportunity for exposure.
“It’s a tough one for him, but we are excited at the prospect of unmasking a true turncoat and a fraud at the coming campaigns,” he declared.
In a move meant to frame the narrative and rally his own base, Keyamo directly challenged the public to save his post for future reference. “Please, bookmark this tweet so we can all read his statement with some derision when it is eventually released.”
