Political activist Deji Adeyanju has vowed to expose Peter Obi as “corrupt, a bigot, and a fraud” in court, following the formal filing of a lawsuit by the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate.
This legal action comes after a two-month period during which Obi had initiated and then deactivated a previous legal threat against Adeyanju. The activist had previously claimed that Obi attempted to bribe him with money during the 2023 presidential campaign, an offer he says he turned down.
Reacting to the revived lawsuit, Adeyanju expressed a sense of relief, stating he was “actually happy” that Obi “didn’t chicken out in the end.” He noted, however, that the suit was filed in Anambra State despite his residence in Abuja.
“But no shaking, we move,” Adeyanju declared. “I will prove in court that Peter Obi is corrupt, a bigot and a fraud. You will all be entertained I promise.”
The stage is now set for a contentious legal battle where Adeyanju has pledged to substantiate his serious allegations, which Obi has now formally challenged in court.
