The ongoing construction of the 150-bed Warji General Hospital will be completed within one month, according to the project’s site supervisor, Mr. Balami Samson.
Balami made this known on Thursday during a media inspection tour of projects executed under the Bala Mohammed-led administration in Bauchi State. He explained that the hospital is already 80 percent completed and is being built with modern equipment to ensure quality service delivery.
“Once completed, this hospital will significantly reduce the health challenges faced by the people of Warji Local Government Area,” he assured.
The Chairman of Warji Local Government Area, Hon. Aminu Barmini, lauded Governor Bala Mohammed for what he described as life-changing projects in the locality. He listed some of them to include the construction of the 19km Warji–Gwaram road, the District Head of Warji’s Palace, the Burarana–Dabo road, erosion control works, a new hospital in Miya, the Dabo village head’s palace, and several Juma’at mosques.
According to him, the governor’s interventions have touched critical sectors of the community, earning the gratitude of residents.
During the inspection of the completed 5km Burarana–Dabo road, residents also expressed appreciation to the government. A resident of Dabo Ward, Zubairu Muhammad, said the road had transformed their lives.
“It used to take us three hours to pass this road, but now it takes only a few minutes. The governor even provided a big erosion control culvert. We can only say thank you,” he said.
The State Commissioner for Information, Hon. Usman Shehu Usman, who accompanied journalists on the tour, explained that the exercise was organized to enable the media to monitor and assess ongoing projects across the state.
