President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State as a Renewed Hope Ambassador and Deputy Director-General for Party Outreach, Engagement, and Mobilisation.
The appointment, which takes immediate effect, tasks the governor with spearheading the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) strategy to consolidate support and broaden its national appeal ahead of the 2027 general election.
According to a statement released on Tuesday by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Governor Sani was selected for the role due to his “salient leadership and organisational abilities.”
In his new capacity, Sani will work closely with the Director-General of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors and the APC national chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje. His primary responsibilities include ensuring harmony and strategic coordination across the party’s mobilisation framework at all levels.
President Tinubu, in a letter conveying the appointment, outlined the strategic importance of the role.
“The overall objective of your appointment is to ensure that the entire citizenry is aware of, understands, and ultimately supports our party and its candidates at all levels for broad national acceptance in the 2027 election,” the President wrote.
He added, “Preparation is critical and essential to achieving this outcome, and your leadership will be central to guiding this process effectively and strategically.”
As Deputy Director-General, Governor Sani is expected to galvanise support for the party’s programmes and policies. His mandate includes promoting the administration’s milestones and achievements to strengthen public confidence and reinforce the message of “Renewed Hope” across the country.
Sani’s appointment adds him to the growing list of party stalwarts tasked with building a cohesive and effective political machinery as the APC begins its early moves toward the 2027 elections.
