Fagge local government has imposed a curfew on two wards following incessant clashes between rival groups of thugs.The violence led to attacks on innocent residents.This is disclosed in a statement on Monday by the council’s spokesman, Tasi’u Yahaya-Dadinduniya.
The council chairman, Salisu Usman-Masu, announced the curfew after an emergency meeting with stakeholders over the repeated clashes in the area.According to him, the curfew restricts movement between 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. daily in Fagge D1 and Fagge D2 wards.
“The Fagge Local Government Assembly, under the leadership of chairman, Alhaji Salisu Usman-Masu, has imposed a curfew on Fagge D1 and Fagge D2 wards from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.“The measure follows recent clashes among youths in the area that have resulted in loss of lives,” the statement said.(NAN)
