Renowned author and social commentator Reno Omokri has issued a strong statement against former presidential candidate Peter Obi and his supporters, known as “Obidients,” accusing them of causing immense distress to him and his family.
In an emotional post on X, Omokri claimed that the alleged attacks from Obi’s supporters led to visible stress, pointing to the whitening of his hair and beard since 2022.
He stated, “You guys do not know what my family and I suffered at the hands of Peter Obi and his Obidients. I will not wish a quarter of what those people did to me on my enemies.”
Omokri further warned that his family, including his preschool-aged daughter, has not forgotten the alleged mistreatment.
He declared, “My family and I heard from you. Now, you will hear from us!” Additionally, he dismissed stereotypes about his ethnic group, the Lukumi people, being cowards, suggesting he would not back down from the feud.
The statement has sparked reactions online, with some users demanding evidence of the alleged harassment, while others sympathize with Omokri’s claims. Neither Peter Obi nor his camp has responded publicly to the accusations.
