President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will depart the nation’s capital on Saturday for a year-end tour covering three states, culminating in a holiday period in Lagos, the Presidency announced today.
The visit will commence in Borno State, where the President is scheduled to commission developmental projects executed by the administration of Governor Babagana Zulum in collaboration with the Federal Government.

his itinerary in Maiduguri also includes attendance at the wedding ceremony of Sadeeq Sheriff, son of former Governor Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, and his bride, Hadiza Kam Salem.
From there, President Tinubu will proceed to Bauchi State on a solemn note to condole with the State Government and the family of the late revered Muslim cleric, Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi. The leader of the Tijjaniyya Muslim Brotherhood passed away on November 27, 2025.
Following the condolence visit, the President will travel to Lagos, his home state, where he is expected to spend the remainder of the year and the upcoming end-of-year holidays.
While in Lagos, President Tinubu will undertake a series of engagements. Notably, he is slated to be the Special Guest of Honour at the Eyo Festival on December 27. The event, to be held at the Tafawa Balewa Square, will pay tribute to several distinguished personalities, including the President’s late mother, Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji, as well as former governors Alhaji Lateef Jakande and Chief Michael Otedola.
The President is expected to return to Abuja in the new year.
