Peter Obi today donated N20 million to four educational institutions in Kaduna State.
The former Anambra State governor emphasised that “no child deserves to be left behind in education,” during his visits to the schools.
Obi began his tour at the Muhammad Sambo Memorial Islamic Institute, founded by Sheikh Yusuf Sambo Rigachukwu. “I assured them of my continued support for their efforts, now and in the future,” he stated after meeting with school administrators.
His next stop was the Madarasatul Hidayyatul Auladi Muslimima Almajiri School in Kawo, where he donated N5 million.
“No matter their location, we can take education to these children as it’s key to lifting people out of poverty,” Obi explained.
At the Womenhood College of Health Sciences and Technology, another N5 million donation was made. Obi recognized the institution’s “critical role in training and empowering women in health-related fields, especially in rural communities.”
The largest donation of N10 million went to St. Gerald’s College of Nursing Sciences.
Addressing students, Obi stressed: “When we invest in education and healthcare, we’re not just building schools or hospitals, we’re building the future of a secure, productive, and united Nigeria.”
Concluding his visits, Obi reflected: “Leadership isn’t about titles, but about lives touched. That’s the leadership Nigeria needs.” He reiterated his vision for “a nation where no child is left behind, regardless of region, religion or background,” declaring that “a New Nigeria is possible.”
