Senator Gbenga Daniel, a former governor, and Hon. Kunle Folarin have been suspended from the Ogun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The party’s State Publicity Director, Nuberu Olufemi, confirmed the action, stating it was due to accusations of engaging in activities against the party.
The suspensions were formally issued by the members’ respective ward committees in Sagamu Local Government following their non-appearance at disciplinary proceedings.
“In exercise of its powers, the State Working Committee of the APC in Ogun State affirms the suspension of Senator Gbenga Daniel and Hon. Kunle Folarin by their respective wards,” the statement said.
The APC State Working Committee, under Chief Yemi Sanusi, reviewed the case on August 19.
The party insists due process was followed and that it is committed to discipline. The suspension is interim while internal processes are finalized.
