The 2023 Labour Party former presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi, held a breakfast talks in Abuja with the British High Commissioner to Nigeria with diplomats from the European Union, Germany, Canada and France.
The presidential hopeful who disclosed the meeting in a post on X, describing it as “an enriching discussion on relationships.”
He wrote: “Today in Abuja, I had a breakfast meeting with some diplomats that included, the British High Commissioner to Nigeria and his Colleagues from the European Union, Germany, Canada, and France. It was an enriching discussion on relationships
But details of the talks were not made public, the engagement followed the growing interface between Nigerian political actors and members of the international community.
Political pundits said the meeting is premised against the backdrop of early political alignments in preparation for the 2027 general polls.
Spear News recalls that Obi, who emerged as a major opposition figure in the 2023 election, has remained active in national discourse, particularly on governance and economic improvement.
