Popular TikTok streamer Peller was reportedly abducted by unidentified men late Wednesday during a livestream, sparking an online frenzy and contradictory updates about his status.
Short videos circulating on TikTok and Instagram show a brief struggle near a roadway at night and viewers claiming on the live chat that he had been โkidnapped.โ
A report by PM News said the fast-rising creator disappeared after being seized by unknown persons on Tuesday night/early Wednesday. Multiple social accounts amplified the claim, including posts on X and Facebook that referenced the alleged abduction occurring mid-stream. However, details such as the exact location, motive and identity of the alleged abductors remain unclear.
Within hours, further confusion emerged as clips from TikTok creators citing model-influencer Sandra Benede, a frequent collaborator in Pellerโs livestreams, claimed on live video that โPeller has been found.โ Those statements have not been corroborated by police or mainstream outlets as of press time.
The Nigeria Police Force has not issued a statement specific to the incident. Recent police briefings addressed anti-kidnapping operations in other states, but none mentioned Pellerโs case. Attempts to reach the Lagos State Police Command for comment were unsuccessful at the time of publication.
Peller widely reported to be Habeeb Hamzat, a Lagos-born streamer rose to prominence through viral TikTok lives and collaborations that regularly draw large audiences. Profiles and recent coverage place him among Nigeriaโs most watched young creators, with brand deals and broad social reach.
Whether the incident was a criminal abduction, a mistaken identity/police encounter, or an online hoax. No verified law-enforcement account has confirmed the circumstances. Pellerโs current condition and location are yet to be confirmed.
Pellerโs livestreams often dominate Nigeriaโs creator conversation, sometimes drawing controversy and intense fan reaction, factors that can amplify misinformation during fast-moving events involving influencers. Recent months have seen unrelated cases of staged or misreported โkidnappingsโ by creators globally, underscoring the need for official verification before conclusions are drawn.
This is a developing story based on open-source videos and early media reports. We will update if police or direct representatives issue verifiable statements. In the meantime, readers should treat unverified clips with caution and rely on official channels for confirmed information.
