Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson could be on his way out of the club this summer, according to manager Enzo Maresca, who has admitted that “anything can happen” during the transfer window.
Speaking to reporters and posted by Fabrizio Romano on Thursday, Maresca did not rule out the possibility of Jackson leaving Stamford Bridge, especially after the club signed two new strikers.
“During the window, anything can happen, That’s also the case for Nico Jackson. We signed two strikers… let’s see,” Maresca said.
Jackson’s future has come under increased speculation following Chelsea’s activity in the transfer market, and Maresca’s comments have added further fuel to the rumours.
The manager also confirmed an injury concern in the squad, revealing that defender Levi Colwill is currently sidelined.
“We had a problem the last two days about Levi Colwill. We don’t know how long he will be out for. Hopefully not too long. It’s a problem,” Maresca said.
Chelsea are set for a busy few weeks as they finalise their squad ahead of the new season, with potential exits and injury concerns shaping Maresca’s second season in charge.
