The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has kicked off the Zonal General Aptitude Test for its 2025 Basic Military Training Course (BMTC) 46 Recruitment Exercise, attracting an overwhelming response from over 20,000 applicants across the country.
According to an official statement, the aptitude test is being conducted at 15 designated zonal centres, spread across major cities in Nigeria, including Sokoto, Minna, Kaduna, Kano, Bauchi, Maiduguri, Yola, Makurdi, Jos, Ilorin, Ipetu-Ijesa, Enugu, Benin, Port Harcourt, and Ikeja.
The NAF has emphasised that the recruitment process is guided by fairness, integrity, and strict adherence to established standards, with the aim of selecting the best candidates to join the force.
Speaking on the exercise, the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, reaffirmed the NAF’s commitment to recruiting the best candidates by merit, stating that the quality of personnel is fundamental to operational effectiveness and the successful execution of the force’s constitutional mandate.
The massive turnout is seen as a testament to the confidence of Nigerian youths in the NAF as a disciplined, professional, and patriotic institution, and highlights the organization’s resolve to attract capable, motivated, and resilient young Nigerians to support ongoing internal security operations and national defence efforts.
The NAF has assured Nigerians that the recruitment process is transparent and merit-driven, and that the best candidates will be selected to join the force.
