The Nigerian military has recorded fresh operational successes across multiple theatres, including the neutralisation of terrorists, rescue of kidnapped victims, and arrest of criminal elements in coordinated operations nationwide.
Operational updates obtained indicate that troops have sustained pressure on criminal networks over the past 24 hours, with gains recorded in several parts of the country under different mission codes.
In Plateau State, troops of Operation Enduring Peace reportedly neutralised three terrorists during an ambush in Wase Local Government Area. The troops also foiled an attempted attack on civilians in Shendam, where injured victims were evacuated and given medical attention.
In Borno State, under Operation Hadin Kai, troops successfully thwarted an attempted improvised explosive device attack along the Konduga–Kawuri road. The operation led to the neutralisation of two terrorists, alongside the recovery of weapons from the scene, further disrupting insurgent activity in the area.
Security forces also recorded arrests in Adamawa State, where a suspected terrorist kingpin linked to kidnapping and attacks on security operatives was apprehended in Toungo. In Borno, troops arrested three individuals suspected to be logistics suppliers for terrorist groups, as well as another suspected kidnapper.
In the North-West, under Operation Fansan Yamma, troops rescued 10 kidnapped victims during separate operations in Sokoto and Katsina States. The troops also arrested five suspected cattle rustlers in Kebbi State and recovered livestock believed to have been stolen.
The military further reported gains in the South-East, where troops recovered and safely detonated four improvised explosive devices in Abia State, preventing potential harm to civilians. Additional arrests were made in Cross River and Ebonyi States, where suspected cultists and gunrunners were taken into custody.
In the Niger Delta, troops intercepted vandalised materials and a vehicle transporting about 900 litres of illegally refined petroleum products in Rivers State, in a continued crackdown on oil theft and economic sabotage.
The report also highlighted military intervention in Nasarawa State, where troops helped de-escalate a communal clash between Afo natives and Fulani herders, preventing the conflict from escalating into a larger crisis.
Military authorities confirmed that operations are ongoing across the country, with a sustained focus on maintaining pressure on terrorist groups and other criminal elements while protecting civilians and critical infrastructure. The recent successes, they noted, reflect intensified coordination among security agencies and continued commitment to restoring peace and stability nationwide.
