Festus Keyamo, Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, has congratulated Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State on his re-election in Saturday’s governorship poll.
In a post on his official X handle on Sunday, Keyamo extended his felicitations to the governor while also addressing Adeleke’s recent public declaration of support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
Keyamo wrote: “Huge congratulations to Governor Ademola Adeleke on his historic victory in the governorship election in Osun State.”
He continued: “Thank you, Governor Ademola Adeleke, for the public and unequivocal endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu @officialABAT for the 2027 Presidential Election. You are a man of integrity and honour. ‘Agreement is agreement.'”
The minister’s remarks followed Adeleke’s victory speech, in which the Osun governor praised President Tinubu for ensuring a free and fair electoral process in the state. Adeleke described the President as “a son of Osun State” and reaffirmed his earlier endorsement of Tinubu for a second term in 2027.
Adeleke won the governorship election with 511,067 votes, while his closest challenger, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress, polled 444,815 votes.
Keyamo’s congratulatory message and acknowledgment of Adeleke’s endorsement have drawn attention, coming from a senior official of the ruling APC acknowledging a governor from a rival political party.
