Content creator, Elizabeth Amadou, popularly known as Jarvis, is carving out a new chapter in her career as she seems to be gradually moving away from the shadow of her boyfriend and TikToker, Peller.
Once known primarily for her AI-inspired skits, Jarvis has begun returning to the creative style that made her popular, while also branching into fresh projects that highlight her independence and long-term ambitions.
During the week, many of her fans were impressed by a new video in which she played an Artificial Intelligence-powered robot battling a villain. Shot at the National Stadium in Lagos, the production drew praise for its graphics, costumes, special effects, and make-up. Directed by Kenza Art Africa, the video featured fast-paced, carefully choreographed fight sequences.
Earlier, Jarvis also appeared in a skit alongside comedian, Broda Shaggi; fashion designer, Veekee James, and her husband, Femi Atere.
Recall that for much of the past year, Jarvis’s online persona was intertwined with Peller’s. Their relationship was not only public but also content-driven, with joint livestreams, collaborations, and frequent appearances together. However, cracks in their relationship repeatedly surfaced online. In April, Jarvis publicly criticised Peller after photos emerged of him with Ghanaian women during a trip, accusing him of disloyalty. Peller fired back by referencing a movie-scene kiss Jarvis had filmed, leading to a heated exchange that played out before their audiences. By June, matters escalated during a joint livestream when Jarvis, in tears, accused Peller of betraying her trust by sharing private details of their relationship while live-streaming. Shortly afterwards, she stated during a chat with fellow TikToker, Sandra Benede, that their relationship had ended, declaring, “I’m officially single. I’m single, he’s single.”
The public nature of those disputes drew widespread reactions from social media users, many of whom advised Jarvis to reclaim her individuality. An X user, @zonkedout, wrote, “Instead of packaging her content around him, she should build on what made people fall in love with her first — the NPC flair and character switches.”
@Bimstarch added, “Let Jarvis be Jarvis. She doesn’t need to be in anyone’s shadow.”
On her part, Jarvis also acknowledged that her identity as a creator had become entangled with her relationship. In a candid livestream, she admitted, “In the beginning, it was difficult accepting his character. Now I have tolerated so many things that do not suit my brand. Who is losing value? Is it me or him?”
Indeed, that introspection appears to have marked a turning point in the way she handles her career and brand.
Some months ago, she went on a youth empowerment school tour in Freetown, Sierra Leone, where she held masterclasses on content creation for young people.
She has also spoken about her desire to transition into Nollywood, describing movie-making as her next focus. “My eyes are on it. I literally want to have a platform for other young people to showcase their talents because it wasn’t easy for me. I had to create my own platform myself,” she said in a recent interview.
The creator has also been open about personal challenges. In October last year, she revealed that she has a tumour in her jaw which continues to grow. The condition, she said, has affected her appearance and public confidence, though she is considering travelling abroad for surgery. Despite this, she maintains that she wants her career to inspire resilience and innovation.
