A leaked internal wireless message from the Nigeria Police Force has revealed a sweeping redeployment of senior officers across critical formations, signaling a fresh wave of restructuring within the system.
The document, issued from the Force Secretariat in Abuja, directs the immediate posting of several Commissioners of Police to strategic units, including the Nigeria Police National Cybercrime Centre (NCCC), INTERPOL, Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT), and the Police Academy.

Among those affected are CP Akan Ezima, who has been moved to the NCCC in Abuja, CP Abbas Sule to INTERPOL at Force Headquarters, and CP Ajo Geoffrey Ordue, now posted as Deputy Commandant at the Police Academy. CP Cletus Mnwadiogbu has been redeployed to FCID Annex, while CP Danjuma I. Yahaya has been assigned to the Force Intelligence Department Annex in Lagos. CP Sheik M. Danko is to take over at SWAT Abuja, as CP Moses Ashu Ottah heads to the Eastern Ports Authority.
Further postings include CP Abdulrahim A. Shuaibu to FCID Abuja, CP Sarah Ehindero to Provost at Force Headquarters, and CP Edwin Ogbegahga to INEC-related duties in Abuja, alongside others captured in the directive.
The wireless message, marked for wide circulation across police departments and commands nationwide, instructs immediate compliance, underscoring the urgency of the redeployments.
Although such postings are a routine feature of police administration, the scale and spread of this latest exercise point to a deliberate effort to recalibrate leadership across key operational and intelligence units. The development comes amid ongoing internal adjustments within the Force aimed at strengthening efficiency and control across commands.
