The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has approved a major redeployment of senior officers across the Nigeria Police Force as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen operational efficiency, enhance leadership capacity and improve service delivery nationwide.
The directive, which affects Assistant Inspectors-General of Police and Commissioners of Police, is aimed at reinforcing the Force’s command structure and ensuring strategic deployment of personnel across commands, formations and departments.
Under the new postings, AIG Ado Emmanuel has been deployed to the Department of Research and Planning at the Force Headquarters, Abuja, while AIG Joseph Eribo moves to the Department of Armament. AIG Miller G. Dantawaye has been assigned to the Department of Operations, and AIG Henry Ifeanyi Uche to Training and Development.
AIG Olanrewaju Peter Ogunlowo has been posted to Police Accounts and Budget, while AIG Dahiru Mohammed takes charge of Zone 15, Maiduguri. Similarly, AIG Dankombo F. Morris has been deployed to Zone 4, Makurdi, and AIG Bello Shehu to Zone 14, Katsina.
Other postings include AIG Ibrahim Balarabe Maikaba to Legal Services, AIG Ahmed Musa to Community Policing, and AIG Olohundare Moshood Jimoh to Zone 2, Lagos. AIG Simeon U. Akpanudom has been assigned to the Force Criminal Investigation Department Annex, Lagos, while AIG Haruna Olufemi moves to the Special Protection Unit at the Force Headquarters.
In the same vein, several Commissioners of Police were redeployed to key state commands and strategic units. CP Haruna Alaba Yahaya has been posted to Jigawa State Command, CP Olugbenga Ayodeji Abimbola to Oyo State Command, and CP Yemi John Oyeniyi to Delta State Command.
CP Olubode Ojajuni takes over Ogun State Command, while CP Michael Adegoroye Falade has been assigned to Ekiti State Command. CP Yakubu Useni Dankaro has been posted to Adamawa State Command, and CP Muhammed Sanusi Ahmed to the Federal Capital Territory Command.
Similarly, CP Olatunji Olaiwola Fatai has been deployed to Lagos State Command, while CP Morkwap S. Dongshal, CP Ahmed Mohammed Bello, CP Umar Ali Fagge and CP Hayatu Shaffa Hassan have been posted to Taraba, Zamfara, Katsina and Sokoto State Commands respectively.
At the Force Headquarters and other formations, CP Betty Enekpen Otimenyin has been assigned to Welfare, while CP Aina Adesola moves to the Training Department. CP Akan Ezima has been appointed Director of the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre in Abuja, and CP Abbas Sule to the Special Protection Unit.
CP Ajo Geoffrey Ordue has been deployed to INTERPOL, Abuja, while CP Mnwadiogbu Cletus becomes Deputy Commandant of the Police Academy. CP Danjuma I. Yahaya has been posted to General Investigation at the FCID Annex in Kaduna, and CP Sheik M. Danko to the FCID Annex in Lagos.
Further deployments include CP Moses Ashu Otta to SWAT in Abuja, CP Abdulrahim A. Shuaibu to the Eastern Ports Authority, and CP Sarah Ehindero to Administration at the FCID, Abuja. CP Edwin Ogbegbghagha has been appointed Provost at the Force Headquarters, while CP Preye R. Egbe has been posted to INEC, Abuja.
In Lagos, CP Adebisi Bola Lateef has been assigned to Master Printing, while CP Ojugbele E. Adebola takes over General Investigation at FCID Alagbon. CP Fidelis N. Ogarabe has been posted to INTERPOL Annex, Lagos, and CP Theodore C. Obasi as Deputy Commandant of the Police College, Ikeja.
Other postings include CP Eloho E. Okpoziakpo to the Special Fraud Unit, Ikoyi; CP Kayode Uthman Magaji to K9, Department of Operations; CP Markus Ishaku Basiran to Courses at the Police Academy; and CP Mohammed Babakura to Administration, Department of Operations.
CP Silas Bamidele Aremu has been deployed to Safer Highway operations, while CP Magaji Ismaila takes charge of Community Safety and Crime Prevention. CP Rebecca Uchenna Okereke has been appointed Director of Music at the Force Headquarters.
The Inspector-General charged the affected officers to bring their wealth of experience to bear in their new assignments, urging them to uphold professionalism, discipline and dedication in the discharge of their duties.
The redeployment, according to the Force, is part of broader reforms aimed at strengthening internal security architecture and improving policing outcomes across the country.
