Former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose has been labelled “serial betrayal” by his own brother, Isaac Fayose, who used a public birthday message to level accusations of treachery against family, political allies, and financial benefactors.
In a social media post marking Fayose’s 65th birthday, Isaac Fayose began with a scathing greeting: “Happy 65th Birthday to my selfish brother, Ayo Fayose. I pray the spirit of selfishness will leave you.”
The message detailed multiple alleged betrayals, starting with family sacrifices. Isaac revealed that their late sister, Bimpe, “sold her land in Maryland, Lagos for you to buy PDP ticket” in 2002.
He noted that at Fayose’s birthday celebration, “none of your siblings from the mother’s side was present, not even your mother.”
The accusations extended to political and financial matters. Isaac claimed his brother “betrayed the party that made you a governor” and named specific benefactors. “You betrayed Buruji that gave you almost N2 billion for your second term. Arthur Eze gave you $3 million for your election yet you never said Thank You,” the message stated.
