The Bauchi State Police Command has assured residents of robust security arrangements ahead of the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations, urging citizens to remain law-abiding and vigilant.
In a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Nafiu Habib, the Commissioner of Police, CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, directed all Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers (DPOs), and Tactical Commanders to intensify patrols and enhance visible policing across the state.
The Command warned individuals involved in criminal activities, including Sara-Suka thuggery, phone snatching, and pickpocketing, to desist or face the full weight of the law.
It also advised motorists and road users to comply with traffic regulations during the festive period to avoid accidents and ensure smooth movement.
Parents and guardians were urged to monitor their children and wards closely to prevent reckless behavior that could disrupt public peace.
Residents were further encouraged to report any suspicious movements or activities to the nearest police station or through the Commandโs Control Centre via 08151849417.
According to the statement, the Police Command will collaborate with other security agencies, community leaders, and relevant stakeholders to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free celebration.
CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu extended warm Eid-el-Fitr greetings to Muslim faithful and all residents of the state, wishing them a safe and joyous celebration.
