The continent’s football governing body announced on Monday that the selected officials will undergo a specialised training camp in Cairo, Egypt, as part of efforts to enhance officiating standards.
The training comes as both the CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederation Cup have reached the quarter-final stage, with high-stakes fixtures expected across the continent.
According to CAF, the programme is designed to fine-tune decision-making, improve physical conditioning, and ensure uniform interpretation of the Laws of the Game during the crucial knockout rounds.
The referees are; Ghorbal Mustapha, Djindo Louis Hougnandande, Ndabihawenimana Pacifique, Mefire Abdou Aboubacar, Alhadi Aliou Mahamat, Messie Jessie Oved, N.Mwoutou and Kpan Clément Franklin.
Others are, Ndala Ngambo, Jean-Jacques, Mohamed Nasser Maroof and Amin Mohamed Omar.
The initiative underscores CAF’s commitment to maintaining high officiating standards as the race for continental glory intensifies in both competitions.
