Bauchi Police Arrest 28-Year-Old Man Over Alleged Sexual Assault of His 8 Year Old Biological Daughter

The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested a 28-year-old man in Alkaleri Local Government Area over allegations of sexual assault involving a minor, ( name withheld)
According to a press statement issued and “On 31/12/2025 at about 1042hrs, one Baffa’ji Muhammed ‘m’ reported at the Divisional Police Headquarters, Alkaleri, that on 30/12/2025 at about 1830hrs, one Baffa’ji Abba ‘m’ aged 28yrs (same address with the complainant), lured his biological daughter (name withheld) aged 8yrs of into a bathroom and forcefully had carnal knowledge of her through both her vagina and anus for about five times in a single day against her will”, the PPRO said.
by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Nafiu Habib, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, the incident was reported on December 31, 2025, at about 10:42 a.m. by a resident of Alkaleri. The complainant alleged that the suspect, who resides at the same address and is a relative of the victim, committed the offence on December 30, 2025, at about 6:30 p.m.

Upon receiving the report, detectives from the Alkaleri Divisional Police Headquarters, led by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), CSP Kadiri Danjuma, immediately responded. The victim was promptly taken to the General Hospital, Alkaleri, for medical examination and treatment, while the suspect was arrested.
Police sources confirmed that the suspect admitted to the offence during interrogation.
The CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, psc(+), mni, has directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) to carry out a discreet, thorough, and evidence-based investigation into the matter.
The Police Command assured the public that the suspect will be properly profiled and charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations, stressing that justice will not be compromised.
