The African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has launched a digital platform aimed at giving Nigerians direct access to him ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The platform, named ‘Ask AA’, is a citizen-engagement portal that allows members of the public to submit questions on his policies, public service record and plans for the country. It goes live at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, 15 October 2026.
According to the campaign, the portal is free to access and will cover topics such as the economy, security, technology, job creation and the candidate’s proposals for making life more affordable. Atiku is expected to answer questions personally, with support from his media team.
The initiative is intended to close the information gap between the ADC candidate and voters by making it easier for Nigerians to engage with him directly and understand his positions on key national issues.
Phrank Shaibu, Director of Strategic Communication for the ADC Presidential Campaign Council, said the platform was designed to bring Atiku closer to the electorate through a practical, problem-solving approach. He added that it reflects the candidate’s belief in using modern technology to make government more efficient, secure and effective.
To reach Nigerians without internet access, the campaign said it plans to make the platform available through a radio interface.
Announcing the initiative on his social media accounts, Atiku described leadership as “a two-way conversation,” saying governance had for too long felt distant from ordinary citizens. He argued that Nigeria’s greatest resource is its people, and that building the country of his dreams requires removing the barriers between leaders and the governed.
The former vice president said nothing would be off the table on the platform, inviting Nigerians to question his economic record, debate his policy plans or offer their own ideas for national progress. He also said he would personally call selected citizens who leave their contact details, to hear directly about their experiences and the challenges affecting their daily lives.
Atiku maintained that a transparent, technology-driven government should begin with how leaders listen to the people today.
