The Senator representing Bauchi South Senatorial District, Senator Shehu Buba Umar, has donated 25 brand-new Volkswagen Sharon buses to the All Progressives Congress in Bauchi State as part of efforts to strengthen grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The vehicles were formally handed over at the party’s state secretariat in Bauchi on Tuesday. The donation was presented on behalf of the senator by Hon. Aminu Mohammed Danmalaki, who said the buses would be distributed across the 20 local government areas of the state to enhance the party’s outreach at the grassroots level.
According to Danmalaki, 20 of the buses will go to local government party structures, while two will remain at the state headquarters and three will be assigned to the party’s zonal offices, bringing the total number to 25 vehicles.
He said the gesture demonstrates Senator Shehu Buba’s continued commitment to strengthening the APC and promoting democratic development in the state.
Danmalaki also highlighted the senator’s contributions to key sectors such as health, agriculture, education, job creation and security across his constituency and beyond.
Describing the lawmaker as a grassroots-oriented politician, he noted that the donation reflects his desire to support the party’s mobilisation drive ahead of the next election cycle.
He added that the vehicles would help party structures reach more communities and deepen engagement with voters across the state.
On internal party challenges, Danmalaki said disagreements are common in politics, especially when several aspirants are contesting for positions, but expressed optimism that the party would remain united.
In his remarks, the Bauchi State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Alhaji Muhammad Hassan Tilde, commended Senator Shehu Buba for what he described as a timely and strategic donation.
He assured party members that the buses would be properly utilised to strengthen mobilisation efforts across the state and called on party stakeholders to remain loyal and united in preparation for the 2027 general elections.
