The faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) loyal to the Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, has officially disclaimed a list of prominent party members of the party, including Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State.
The group, often referred to as the “Wike PDP Bloc,” issued a strongly-worded disclaimer on Thursday, declaring that individuals such as former Deputy National Chairman Bode George, alongside others like Adolphus Wabara, Taofeek Arapaja, and Emmanuel Udom, are falsely parading themselves as party members and officers.
The disclaimer, which was signed by Sanator Samuel Anyanwu, asserts that the individuals were “duly expelled by the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the Party held on November 18, 2025, for various offences bordering on anti-party activities and gross misconduct,” in accordance with the party’s 2017 constitution as amended.
Central to the bloc’s argument is the outright rejection of a recent convention in Ibadan, which purported to be a National Convention. The statement categorically dismissed the event as “a charade and mere social gathering, which is not recognised by law,” citing its failure to adhere to valid court judgements.
The faction, which recognizes Senator Samuel N. Anyanwu as National Secretary, warned the public and party faithful against engaging with the listed individuals.
“Anybody parading himself as a newly elected national officer of the party is an imposter and a meddlesome interloper,” the statement read. It further cautioned that “Anybody who does that, does so at his/her own peril.”
The list of disclaimed persons is extensive, including: Seyi Makinde (Governor, Oyo State), Bala Mohammed (Governor, Bauchi State), Bode George (Former Deputy National Chairman), Dauda Lawal (Governor, Zamfara State)
Emmanuel Udom (Former Governor, Akwa Ibom State), Adolphus Wabara (Acting Board of Trustees Chairman), Taofeek Arapaja (Former Deputy National Chairman, South), Umar Iliya Damagun (Former Acting National Chairman)
