U.S. forces have announced the destruction of key Iranian military infrastructure in what marks a significant escalation in the ongoing confrontation between Washington and Tehran, according to a statement published on the official X account of United States Central Command.
The statement said American forces “have destroyed Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps command and control facilities, Iranian air defense capabilities, missile and drone launch sites, and military airfields during sustained operations,” adding that the United States “will continue to take decisive action against imminent threats posed by the Iranian regime.”
The latest development follows weeks of rising tension in the region, driven by expanding hostilities involving Iran and its allied forces, as well as direct and indirect confrontations with U.S. and allied interests.
